As a restaurant, the tarragon is already top, but my rating should refer to the great catering, which is also offered by the tarragon. In the search for suitable catering for our guests, the choice fell on a menu ala tarragon instead of the classic fried baby pig from the grill. The place setting suggested by Helmut didn't read at all according to what I mean by catering and I didn't imagine the implementation to be so trivial: "Marinated medallions of pork tenderloin Marinated medallions from the chicken breast Mediterranean pickled neck steaks Cevapcici Rosemary Potatoes Grilled Tuscany vegetables Franconian coleslaw Cucumber salad in dill cream Tomato and sheep cheese salad with fresh mint Herb butter tomato-butter Dips Baguette" In the evening, two employees came punctually to set up their equipment at the location of the celebration and even before the first guest came, everything was already ready and the two stood in line behind the grill and a great selection of salads. The steaks and loins were great and also the cevapcici, enjoyed every guest. The rosemary potatoes, a poem, the salads fresh and crisp. Everyone present praised the food and was amazed how such a catering can taste (in the restaurant actually not better). Also great is the fact that they not only served, but also cleared away, something that no one expected. After the meal was over, everything was dismantled completely unobtrusively and almost suddenly the two of them including the grill disappeared. Corona measures: Without exception, the employees wore their mouth and nose protection, correctly over their mouth and nose! Cutlery was delivered packaged, as well as, of course, sparkling clean dishes and chic, clean, shiny wine glasses. Grill, aprons, blankets just as perfectly clean. Everything you could do was considered and implemented. In terms of price, we were very pleasantly surprised. Thank you for a great evening! Thank you very much to Gudrun and Lars. If the job is ever a calling, then it is definitely for both of them!

A very nice evening with delicious food

Small restaurant with delicious Mediterranean cuisine and very friendly, attentive service. Everything made a very clean and well-kept impression. The portions were generous and the quality and taste were very good. In addition, despite the full restaurant on Saturday evening, we did not have a long wait and felt very comfortable. There is also a small outdoor area in front of the restaurant on the side street. Good price-performance ratio.

Nice attentive service, down-to-earth cuisine

Very nice place. Atypical for Francs, as the menu is aimed more towards France. The food is very good. The prices are very moderate. You sit nicely in the small garden. Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking for the extraordinary in Nuremberg. We will be back!

Visited this beautiful restaurant in the evening on June 26th. Super dishes with unusual creations, at not overpriced prices! 6 stars would have been earned. For me a restaurant with a heart! Nice ambience, always nice service, always great food. The changing cards always surprise me positively - with good quality and unusual combinations that are simply delicious. Rarely what you can get everywhere. Always good and imaginative vegetarian dishes. The dark dinner experience was special about 2 years ago with "insight" into a life without eyesight, which was very informative, sensitive and entertaining. The fact that the whole thing is also a project with AIDS help and is so well designed for and with people with disabilities makes it even more valuable and simply worth supporting! I fell in love with shock many years ago and love lasts.

A very pleasant atmosphere! The service was very friendly and accommodating. The menu was not overcrowded, but offered plenty of choice. It was freshly cooked !! That's what makes a wonderful restaurant !! Gladly again!

We were on our business trip and looking for some place to eat. Estragon seemed fine after reading reviews. But... I'm absolutely shocked (not in a good way unfortunately) how we were treated by the owner. We ordered 2 dishes- both of them were badly prepared and the fish was completely raw inside. Second dish was terrible- basically cooked without any seasoning, salt, pepper whatsoever which made of this a tasteless potato ball. Instantly we reported our doubts after which the waitress convey our complaints to the kitchen... and then the beyond belief situation happened. The owner, who was also the chef of Estragon came out. He stood next to our table and started with 'If you don't like my kitchen, you have to leave my place'. We tried to explain that food was really poor and maybe we will try a different dish. After that we heard that our taste is poor and the only place we deserve to eat is McDonalds and Burger King. The asked us to stand up and walk away. He followed us to exit and loudly slapped the door behind us. I travel around the world and nothing like this never ever happened to me. What shock me the most are all those fantastic reviews. That was a very unpleasant experience to me and my co worker.

I have no words to describe how we were treated... after waiting 30 minutes for food (we ordered ‚spinach dumplings’ and salmon from oven) we received potato-spinach balls cold inside and had no taste at all... We politely shared our feedback with the waitress who after discussion offered us new dish, we agreed to that. 2 minutes later we received salmon from oven that was raw... so we decided to share that too because we couldn’t eat it. We offered to pay for all drinks and bruschetta we had before and decided ro leave since everything that was served was not right. The owner approached us and said we must leave, he doesn’t want our money and we can go eat at mcdonalds, we have no taste, we have no idea about food and we must go NOW, it’s his house and he can do whatever he wants... we travel a lot and we had NEVER been treated this way, we were so shocked. The owner walked after us to the exit and slammed the door. If you want to eat good food and be treated with respect AVOID THIS PLACE. The owner doesn’t care about clients and has no idea about running business and providing good service, shame on you Estragon restaurant. I’m so surprised by the numbers of positive reviews, have no idea where it comes from.

Great location in the very city center. There are menus both in English and German and the personnel is very nice and ready to explain the dishes. Focus on local cuisine, with great antipasti and second dishes. Prices are a bit above the average but still ok. Food was really good and the local wines and beers are good to choice to follow the meat or fish plates! Recommend it!

The project I think is great and what you have made of it a culinary delight. Whether starter, main course or dessert everything was perfect !!! Gladly so on Vll enlargement would be conceivable.

Estragon catered for our wedding in the Kulturscheune in Oct 2015, they were fantastic! We had lots of compliments about the food and they were able to provide all that we asked for. The staff were super friendly, and efficient. We would highly recommend them!
